I have built several family homes in the past, my most recent was a substantial home where I acted as owner builder. So I consider myself to be reasonably familiar with how the building industry operates and what expectations I should have from various players within that industry. When my wife and I decided to build another family home on a recently acquired site, we were looking for someone to design the home that would have the ability to extract the concepts my wife and I had in our heads onto a set of drawings. We were also looking for someone who had the ability and confidence to contribute to the ideas behind these concepts as the site was special. It was a water front block overlooking a series of islands that lay in a Marine Park, so we needed to get this right. I’m happy to say that Mario was very successful in meeting our expectations. In fact its fair to say that his ability to understand what we wanted in the design exceeded our expectations. It didn’t take him long to give life to what for some time had been a mere collection of ideas in our heads. We first came to see you in January 2008 to help us design a home for our block in Beeliar. We were pleased with the plans you developed for us and with the tendering process which saw us decide to build with Danmar Homes. We have moved into our new home and we love it! We were introduced to Mario about 4 years ago when we were wanting to develop some investment units on a block of land. Being new to the building process we needed advice on not only the design of the units but gaining council approval and then obtaining the right builder for what we required.
